Thank
You by Led Zeppelin
Music plays a huge part of my life and it feels
perfectly natural when I’m writing, to weave it in alongside the story. I
listen to music obsessively when I’m working on a book, and also when I’m
curled up reading. One day I’ll either dedicate an entire room to being a
library, or I’ll have a padded window seat to snuggle into. Until then, I’ll
make do with a sagging-but-comfortable sofa. And if I have to put up with the
TV in the background, well that’s where iPods and earbuds come into their own.
Where do you like to read? Do you have a favourite
place?

A lovely, gentle song to read to is Thank You
originally by Led Zeppelin.
And so today, my world
it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me
are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm
glad.
I actually prefer the cover version by Chris Cornell.
In Crash Into Love, Cass thinks longingly about
curling up with a good book to pass the time, but that’s before she meets
Jonah, the much younger guy staying next door.
~
Jonah lifted
his head and opened his mouth to speak. I braced myself for the
thanks-and-good-bye spiel.
“Can I hold you?” I blinked. Not what I expected.
“I’d love you to.” Cuddles as well? Maybe this
was all a sexy dream conjured up by my inner romance author? I rolled over, and
he spooned around me as naturally as if we’d been doing this for years. One arm
pillowed my head, the other lay around my waist with his hand cupping my
breast. Soft kisses peppered the back of my neck, and a warm sigh tugged at my
heart. Don’t even think of wanting more than this. He’ll be going home in a
few days. Don’t spoil the moment.
I relaxed into
him, turning my head occasionally to kiss wherever I could reach. The rain
renewed its frenzied dance on the roof, and I smiled at my earlier daydream.
I’d wanted to snuggle up on the couch, but this was a million times better.

Blurb:
Cass
thought spending a month at a beachside hideaway relaxing and collecting shells
would be the perfect escape to finish her novel. When she meets the dark and
brooding and much younger Jonah, who's staying next door, her book becomes the
last thing on her mind.
Jonah
would rather stay home alone than go on vacation with his brother and their
friends, but does his best to tolerate the situation after being convinced to
go. But when he sees the beauty next door, he can’t avoid his attraction.
Together,
they break all the rules, but will Cass be able to bring Jonah out of his shell
forever, or will he leave her with only the crash of the surf to keep her
company?

Author bio:
Romance
author Sofia Grey spends her days managing projects in the corporate world and
her nights hanging out with wolf shifters and alpha males. She devours pretty
much anything in the fiction line, but she prefers her romances to be hot, and
her heroes to have hidden depths. When writing, she enjoys peeling back the
layers to expose her characters’ flaws and always makes them work hard for
their happy endings.
Music is interwoven so
tightly into my writing that I can’t untangle the two. Either I’m listening to
a playlist on my iPod, have music seeping from my laptop speakers, or there’s a
song playing in my head – sometimes on auto-repeat.
