Author, author... Love's Sorrow by Terri Rochenski

Please welcome a guest post from Terri Rochenski....

A day in the life of author Terri Rochenski
I giggled when I saw this topic request because every day is different. As a stay-at-home mom to three little yummies, rarely does a day go by the same as the one before. Between kindergarten and pre-school drop offs at different times and schools, and two afternoons of gymnastics, life is hectic.
My day begins around 5:30 am when the little man wakes up to be nursed. Since I’m a morning person, I really don’t mind. I feed the little yums then sip my vanilla chai tea while checking email and catching up on my daily networking.
Once my two daughters wake up between 6:30 and 7:00am, my day really begins. The best are Tuesday and Thursday mornings when they’re both in school for a few hours and I get to don my author hat. Yeeha!
If Luke doesn’t nap, however, I end up playing toys on the floor, pen and clipboard on the coffee table beside me (like right now!!), jotting down scenes, blog posts, or to-do lists as they come to me.
11:45 am is the 1st pick up, 1:30pm the 2nd. Once I have all three children at home, I rarely have time to entertain a sane thought let alone write a scene from someone else’s PoV.
Play more toys, homework, make & clean up after dinner, bath time, read books, clean up toys, then finally bed time.
At this point I inhale a deep breath and flop on the couch for an hour or two. On the rare occasion I have brain cells left, I’ll attempt some editing. If not, I read while the hub’s Pawn Stars or American Pickers drones in the background.
Once my eyelids refuse to stay propped open, it’s between my flannel sheets I go to gear up for another day.
Don’t ask me HOW I’ve gotten some much accomplished in the past 2 years. I can’t remember.
How ‘bout you? Have a set schedule? A hectic life that affords little author time?

Love’s Sorrow
(Means of Mercy #1)
A Sweet Historical Romance
by
blurb:
Hired as a nanny for her cousin’s children, Anne Tearle finds security and a loving family. The children are a dream, but London society is a world of its own, one where a displaced farm girl has no business being. But, wealthy rake, Gavin MacKay, helps her to see associating with the upper class might not be as horrid as she first assumed.

Like all things worthwhile, love comes at a price, and the cost soon bestows more anguish than joy. Lost, but not undone, Anne must find the courage to begin life anew, or succumb to sorrow's unrelenting waves of grief.

Bio:

Terri started writing stories in the 8th grade, when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundi’s Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.

Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare 'me' moments her three young children allow.  When not playing toys, picking them back up, or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.
