Author, author... of The Last Execution

...read all about it !!

Welcome Jerrie, would you tell us a little about yourself...

I write sexy, alpha males and kick-ass women who weave their way through death and fear to emerge stronger because of, and on occasion in spite of, their love for each other. I like to torture people, (in my books) make them suffer, and if they’re strong enough, they live happily ever after.

My debut novel THE GREEN-EYED DOLL came out12/07/12. I'm thrilled to announce THE LAST EXECUTION became available 06/07/13. My husband and I live in Texas. Some of my favorite things are sunshine, children’s laughter, sugar (human and granulated), and researching for my heroes and heroines.

What or who initially inspired you to become a writer?

I can't actually Put my finger on any one thing. Way back in high school I wrote, which led me to studying journalism. My desire to embellish on stories probably drove me to writing fiction. My dad always said I had fanciful ideas, and eventually they spilled out on paper.

What kind of research do you do for a novel and how extensive do you get?

Tons! I love to read books written by FBI profilers, I belong to educational loops such a Crime Scene Writers, and am not beyond contacting the sheriff's office, police department or even the FBI with my questions. I think writing romantic suspense the villain plays a huge role. He has to be realistic, his motivations have to be clear or he comes across as phony.

Do you have a special place you like to do your writing? Such as an office, a spare room, the dining room table, your couch?

We converted our dining room to an office. And my husband put up a 4x8 white board on one wall! It's a quiet place with three big windows to let the sunshine in while I'm working.

As a reader, what types of works do you like to read and do you think they influence the genre/genres you write in?

I read almost anything if it's well written. But my heart is with the romantic suspense books. Linda Howard is my all time favorite. Her Death Angel is the best book ever. However, I confess to loving a good historical romance. Elizabeth Hoyt can turn a phrase so beautifully! I do think their expertise influences me. Make me worker harder, dig deeper, try to reach that level of writing!

What is your favorite method of writing...as in laptop, desktop, Ipad or the old fashioned pencil and paper??  And do you plot out your story or go with the flow of your muse?

I love my desktop and big screen monitor. It has me spoiled so that when I travel and have to use my laptop, it takes some getting used to.

I swear I've tried to plot! Taken classes from really great authors. But I always fall back to going with the flow. I try to metaphorically change hats with each character, get into their head and let the story tell itself.

When you need a break or some time off from the trials of being a writer, what can you be found doing?

I enjoy watching my granddaughter play volleyball. Or spending time with family and friends. My favorite thing is finding a warm ocean, white sand, and hanging out.

Is there anything about yourself nobody knows that you would like to share with our readers??

Not many secrets left. Maybe that I paint. Flowers mostly. I love bright colors and the world offers so many different varieties to paint. Not that my paintings will ever do justice to mother nature!

For fun, I have a few personal questions,

Your Favorite 5

1) Favorite color - Red, bright, hot red.

2) Favorite dessert -   Tough one. Bread pudding or tiramisu

3) Favorite Season -   Summer-summer-summer! I'm a Texan, so bring on the sun and warm weather.

4) Favorite sad song -  When I Call Your Name by Vince Gill. Makes me cry every time I hear him sing it!

5) Favorite Romantic movie -  Okay...don't laugh. The Phantom of the Opera with Gerard Butler! Only I'd rewrite the ending. I'd put  the mask back on the Phantom, and I would stay with him!

But to be serious, I love Pride and Prejudice with Keria Knightley. The ending scene with Mr. Darcy walking across the moor in the mist...*sigh* He slowly morphed throughout the movie from unattractive to drop dead gorgeous!

And a bonus, what is your ideal romantic vacation??

Anywhere there's a beach with white, powdery sand, crystal clear water, warm, balmy days, and good food. The Riu Palace Resort in Negril, Jamaica fits the bill. It's beautiful, the people are warm and friendly. The grounds crew will even put flowers on your sun lounger.

 The Last Execution

Release Date: June 7th, 2013

Blurb:
To survive, she must put the past behind her. To love, she must learn to trust.

Homicide detective Leigh McBride's first assignment with the FBI brings her face-to-face with a past she's tried hard to forget. And when her temporary partner, a cynical ex-marine, lights a fire in her she thought long-extinguished, her darkest secret is threatened.

Scarred both physically and emotionally, Special Agent J. T. Noble is a man of few words. He prefers to keep people at a distance—until he meets Leigh. He's attracted to her strength and drawn in by her secrecy. But in their line of work, secrets can be deadly.

When the killer they are hunting aims his vigilante justice at Leigh's past assailant, the fine line between right and wrong blurs. To heal the past—and find their future together—Leigh and J. T. must learn that only through trust and forgiveness can love grow.

Excerpt:

The six-year-old missile launched himself into the air, giving J.T. two choices. Catch the kid, or let him fall to the ground like a deflated football. J.T. grabbed him and held Ethan out in front, as he would a wet, smelly dog.
Leigh jogged down the sidewalk, sparks flashing from her eyes. She pulled her son out of J.T.’s grasp and plopped the kid down at her feet. She knelt and got right in his face. J.T. made a mental note to not piss her off.
“What have I told you about running out the door?”
Ethan’s head bowed. “Don’t even think about it.” He stared at the tops of his bare feet.
“Obviously, you didn’t listen.” She tugged the knot at the back of her head tighter before she looked up. “Sorry about the attack.”
“Kid’s a natural born high jumper.” J.T. stuffed his hands in his pockets. She’d wadded her hair in the old-lady-school-teacher-bun-thing she wore at work. Probably just as well. If she’d left all that blond silk loose and sexy, he might’ve thought this was a date or something, which it wasn’t. Him being here was entirely the fault of his own big mouth.
“Please.” She waved a hand toward the wide-open front door. “We were about to come and get you.”
        “You knew I was here?”
“A black Corvette rumbling around in our neighborhood doesn’t go unnoticed.”
Dressed in blue jean shorts and a thin-strapped top exactly the same blue as her eyes, Leigh looked more like a model than a mom. J.T. was glad he’d worn a T-shirt and Wranglers.
His chest double-clutched and pulled a weird stutter step when a small hand gripped two of his fingers and two small feet shuffled hurriedly to keep up with him. Tonight was a mistake.

Amazon 4 Star review: Loved the heat

This book was a great combination of suspense to rival Patterson and passion to rival fifty shades, without the whips! Can't wait for the next one!

Amazon 5 Star review: Just the right novel to travel with!

This book is simply my favorite. The characters are strong, well-developed and the chemistry between them keeps the readers on fire. The author did a really good job with the story line and the combination of suspense, romance, tragedy and happy-ending all in one book is really what made me give a 5-star.

One last thing before we let you leave us today, do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share !

Here's one that came from a friend who watches her weight. It will please the rest of the family too. It's so easy and fun to make. It fizzes up and my granddaughter had a blast stirring it together. It's delicious.

1 box of angel food cake mix
1 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple

Stir the two together! That's it!

Pour into a greased 9x11 pan and bake at 375 for around 25 minutes.
Top each slice with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Trust me...this is good eating.

Author, author.... Book Blitz ~ Two Are Better Than One

....read all about it !!

Two Are Better Than One
Suzanne Rock

Quinn and Declan enjoy having sex together, but love sharing a woman more. After months of searching,
they’ve lost hope of ever finding a permanent third to complete them. Then they meet shy, reclusive Hannah and everything changes. The sexual energy between them is incredible and the men soon realize that no other woman will do. They decide to confront her at the department’s summer kick-off party. Will the straight-laced Hannah be open to a three-way relationship? They’ll have to do everything they can to convince her that two men are better than one.

Excerpt:
“Did you find her?”

Hannah stopped walking as she recognized Declan’s voice.

“No. I looked everywhere.”

Quinn. Hannah knelt down behind the dune and angled herself until both men came into view. The setting sun cast a red-orange halo around them both, creating a beautiful, romantic picture.

“Damn Greg.” Quinn fisted his hands. “He’s such an ass.”

“I never liked him,” Declan agreed. “Now he’s scared off Hannah and I’m not sure if we’ll ever find her.”
Hannah stared at the men. They were looking for her?

“I’d love to punch his face in.” The normally jovial Quinn slammed his fist in his palm.

“Come now, you know violence isn’t the answer.” Declan sighed. “I just wish I knew if Hannah was all right.”

“You don’t believe that she had sex with Greg, do you?”

“I don’t think anyone believes him. He’s an ass, remember?”

Quinn shook his head. “I’m worried about her.”

“Me too.”

“If only we weren’t running late. We could have stopped it.”

Hannah stood and was about to reveal herself when she saw Declan reach out for Quinn. She hunched back down behind a sand dune and watched as Declan wrapped his arms around Quinn’s shoulders. The act was gentle and affectionate. Soothing. It seemed almost as if he was consoling a lover.

Desire sparked in her lower abdomen. She imagined herself between the two men, their hard, naked bodies pressed up against her like in one of her erotic novels. She had never participated in a three-way, but she guessed that with Declan and Quinn it would be so much more intimate than what she had read about, more intense. To be surrounded by all of that warm skin, to feel their hands and lips on her body, would be like a dream come true.

“Don’t worry, we’ll find her.” Declan hooked his finger under Quinn’s chin and raised his head to meet his gaze. Then he closed the distance between them and covered his lips.

They were…kissing? Hannah gasped and put her hand over her mouth. They were lovers? A hollowness formed in the pit of her stomach. She was such a fool to think that they’d be interested in her. Damn Becky for putting the thought in her head. Declan and Quinn were lovers—lovers! Tears once again stung her eyes and a sob escaped her throat.

Declan broke the kiss and pulled back from Quinn. “Did you hear that?”

Quinn stepped out of his lover’s embrace. “There’s someone here.”

Hannah stood and turned to go.
“Wait—don’t leave.” Quinn’s voice rose up from the dunes.

Hannah closed her eyes. Could this evening get any worse? She couldn’t run away now. She’d have to talk to them. Hannah decided she’d be curt and quick, then get out of there and go home as soon as possible.
Hannah had let Becky give her hope for something more than a life of seclusion, and now she was paying the price. Hannah was better off with her cat and her erotic novels.

It was best to get this over with as quickly as possible. Slowly she turned around.
Both men started moving toward her.

“Hannah,” Declan was faster than Quinn and reached her first. “My God, we were worried about you.”

“Were you?” Hannah looked from Declan to Quinn. “Just now you were kissing. You couldn’t have been that worried.” Hannah winced at the men’s stunned expressions and immediately regretted her words. She held up her hands between them. “I mean, it’s none of my business—”

“You saw that?” Quinn asked.

Declan took a step forward. “Did it disgust you?” He took another step. “Scare you?”

“A little.” She shook her head. “I mean it didn’t disgust me. I just didn’t know that you two…” She waved her hands in the air between them.

“We are lovers, yes.” Declan stopped and held his hands out at his sides. “Does that bother you?”

“No. Yes.” She sighed and dropped her hands. “I don’t know.”

“There’s more,” Quinn said.

“More?”

Declan glanced at Quinn, and then refocused his attention to her. “We like kissing each other, but we find it much more erotic to both be kissing another woman.”

“Much more erotic,” Quinn said as he stepped closer.

Author, author.... Rose Wynters

...read all about it !!

Welcome, so great to have you here with us.  Can you tell us a little about yourself?

Thanks so much for hosting me on your website. I'm very happy to be here. I'm Rose Wynters, writer of paranormal and erotic romance. I'm in my 30's but forever 21 :-), and I love to travel and spend time in nature camping. (But I'm not a nudist!)

Do real life events find their way into your stories?

I think in every story ever written, something of the author goes into it. In my books, it would have to be my funny side. By nature, I love to laugh and enjoy life as much as possible.

Do you ever mimic family members or people you know when you choose characters?

No, I completely avoid that!

Do you find yourself going back to the same inspiration for each story or is it always something different?

It's always different because each book calls for something different. I get some pretty crazy inspirations sometimes.

When do you write?  Early morning? During the day sometime or all day?  After the kids go to bed?

I'm a night owl. My absolute favorite time to write is nights, but that's not always possible.

How do you feel about marketing your book?

Some type of book marketing is always necessary. After that though, you just have to let your book speak for itself!

What social sites do you feel work best for marketing?

I've heard mixed reviews about using social sites for marketing. Some people swear by it, while others feel it didn't do anything for them. I do know Facebook and Twitter are excellent ways to keep in touch with your readers, and they seem to be the most popular.

Do you like to pitch stories to your publisher or do you wait until you have written the story and have a final manuscript to turn in?

I definitely like to wait until the story is written.

Is there any other genre that you would love to try writing?  If so, what is it?

I'm interested in doing a time travel romance.

Do you always/ever see yourself as the heroine/hero when you write a story?

Not so far. With as sexually exciting as the Endurers are, I'd probably have a heart attack!

Just for fun, I have a few personal questions,

Favorite 5

1)      Favorite Male Actor  - Just one? Alexander Skarsgard in True Blood. Wow!
2)      Favorite vehicle – A luxury one lol.
3)      Favorite way to relax – An evening spent in bed, watching movies that I've been waiting to see.
4)      Favorite ice cream – Baskin Robbins rocky road.
5)      Favorite outfit – Jeans and a trendy shirt. You can't go wrong with that.

And for a bonus:  If you could pick any place in the world to live, besides where you are now, where would it be?  (Of course, without the hindrance of jobs or money needed)

Europe, probably London.

Where can our readers find you??

Is there an upcoming or current release you would like to share with us today and where can we find it?

Rubenesque Rapture (Book 1 The Endurers) released in April. Curvaceous Condemnation (Book 2 The Endurers) in May, and the 3rd book in the series will be out in June 2013. They are available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, etc.

Rubenesque Rapture

Blurb:
Hell is hot to get their hands on Anna Andrews, determined to use her
plus-sized body for breeding purposes. Attacked by demons in her remote cabin in Alaska, she is sure there is no way out until a mysterious Endurer rescues her at the last moment. He’s been sent to get her to safety in Las Vegas, but he never counted on the sexual attraction that flares immediately between them.

Shayne McLoughlin was born in the 1400’s and lived as a Monk, until a brutal attack destroyed his entire family, changing his life forever. Now an immortal Endurer that protects humanity from demonic beings, he expects his next assignment to be like any other. Until he meets the rubenesque beauty he has been sent to protect.

On the race to reach the safety of Las Vegas, they discover an explosive attraction that can’t be ignored. He can battle the demons that want her, but can he have victory over the power of her mind? Plagued by her past and an ex-boyfriend that used her in an attempt to satisfy his debt to Hell, Anna finds it hard to believe this gorgeous man is serious about her.

As the very world stands on the cusp of Armageddon, Shayne is determined to have this full-figured beauty at any cost. There isn’t any rule he won't break to claim Anna and keep her. Danger follows their every step as passion ignites at every turn. Is it a battle this Endurer can win?

Excerpt:
Two taller, grotesque creatures started towards them, their red eyes gleaming unnaturally in the twilight of the evening.

Shayne was ready for them, an ornately carved dagger in each hand. “You girls looking to play?” he asked, his velvety, deep voice cutting through the night. “I know I am. Look, I'm even wearing my play clothes.” He was dressed completely in black.

The two glanced at each other, before charging him as one. Shayne met them in a running leap just seconds before the two screamed in pain. The daggers moved quickly, and immediately one of the demons fell, smoke rising from its body.

He glanced over to the last one standing and shook his head in disgust. His knife had carved deeply into the side of his face, leaving the flesh gaping open. Copious amounts of black fluid poured out, and he was missing an ear.

“Damn,” he said as his lip curled up in a sneer. “You guys just get uglier and uglier, don’t you? It looks like your face caught on fire and someone tried to put it out with a fork.”

He could see three more hellions spread out in the parking lot, but they paused at his words. They knew he was an Endurer, with the full backing of Heaven behind him. The evil inside of them naturally recoiled from the purity contained within his daggers and sword.

It didn't stop the demon in front of him though. “What a great idea,” he growled at Shayne. “I'll have fun trying it out on you in Hell.”

Shayne beckoned with his hand as he said mockingly, “You, I’m going to kill just to put you out of your misery.”

One last thing before we let you leave us… Do you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share?  I like to cook and am always looking for new recipes to try and share !

Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants, and I LOVE the cheddar biscuits they serve. The recipe below is one of my favorites. They taste best when you eat them fresh from the oven.

Garlic Cheddar Biscuits recipe:

Heat your oven to 350 degrees and let it get warm.

Ingredients:
2       cups Bisquick(r) (or generic) Baking Mix
2/3     cup Milk (whole milk if possible)
1/2     cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
1/4     cup margarine or butter, melted (real butter taste best)
1/4     tsp. garlic powder

Mix baking mix, milk and cheese until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30
seconds. You want to make sure it's mixed up real good.  Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet, I like to use the cooking spray to keep it from sticking.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.  Mix margarine and garlic powder;
brush over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet.  Serve warm.

(10 to 12 biscuits)

*     *     *     *     *     *

Oh Rose, Red Lobster's biscuits are my favorite !  Thank you so much for this recipe :)
So glad you could be here to share Rubenesque Rapture with us and we wish you much success !

Until next time, happy reading !!

Couldn’t Get this Dom out of my Head…

When I developed the story for my sexy novella Make Me Stay, I started writing at the end and built the book around this one scene…
A soft knock at the cottage door pulled her from her thoughts. Her heart fluttered with the possibility it could be Cade. Maybe he was ready to talk. She ran to the door and quickly pulled it open, never expecting to see him standing on the other side. She stepped back and let him enter. As he turned to close the door, she immediately dropped to her knees.

“Master,” she said. “I didn’t expect you.”

Gracie lowered her head and waited for Martin to speak. Her heart pounded against her chest just from his close proximity.

“Do you know how beautiful your submission is?” Martin slowly walked around her. She didn’t have to see what he was doing. She felt his presence and visualized him taking in her body. He gently stroked his fingers over her neck, causing a chill to course through her entire system. “As much as it pains me, you no longer wear my collar, so you shouldn’t be on your knees.”

She looked up at him and smiled.

“Please.” He extended his hand for her. Once she was on her feet he pulled her against his strong, muscular chest, wrapping his arms around her. He placed a soft, comforting kiss on the top of her head.
***
Martin may have started out as a secondary character who only appeared in one chapter of Make Me Stay but he morphed into something so much more. He consumed my every thought until I finally gave in and wrote him his own book. He is probably the most intriguing character I’ve ever created. There’s something about a tortured hero that does it for me.
Martin has been alone for quite some time. He’s grown tired of his way of life. Just when he thinks he’ll never find the one, his spunky attorney opens his eyes in a way he never thought possible. Here’s the blurb…

What happens when a Dominant falls for his not-so-submissive attorney?

Martin Abrams, owner of Master M's BDSM club, has become unfulfilled with his lifestyle. Ever since his sub, Gracie, left to marry her true love, Martin has lost his way.  Living the life of the head Dominant in his circle isn't as appealing as it once was.  Something seems to be missing.

Sassy lawyer Arianna Covington relocates to New York City after a humiliating divorce.  She's looking for a fresh start when she agrees to become Martin's exclusive attorney.  She's intrigued by his domineering personality and wants to know why women kneel at his feet.

Their attraction is undeniable despite Ari's iinitial beliefs that she will never submit to Martin's desires.  But Martin is up for the challenge.  Arianna is more than he ever imagined in a woman.  He vows to claim her heart, with or without the games.  Who will surrender first?

Featuring Cade and Gracie from Make Me Stay.

Watch the trailer for a peek into the plot.
If you want the back story, check out Make Me Stay.

Can the sub teach the Dom to play?

Natural submissive Gracie Miller thought she had found her other half in Cade Jameson.  Not only did he help her through a difficult time in her life, in the bedroom he brought her more pleasure than she could have ever imagined.  They seemed perfect for each other.

Cade knew what he wanted in the bedroom.  Gracie brought out his domineering side and ignited his passion.  But he feared he was too dominant for this beautiful, naive girl, who was so young and impressionable, so he ended their relationship.

Two and a half years later, Gracie returns to town a new woman.  She had moved to the city and found a "Master" who showed her what she was truly capable of.  Now she's back and wants to show Cade exactly what kind of submissive she could be for him.

But after hearing all that she's experienced, Cade now wonders if he's dominant enough to satisfy her.  Can he be the man Gracie needs him to be?
