Not bothering to touch his luggage this morning,
she deserted him and made her way to the cockpit.
Behind her, the cargo doors shut and seconds later,
Grady slipped into the seat next to hers. A wave of
déjà vu hit. Hadn’t they already played this game
before? Uncomfortable silence. Awkward attempts at
conversation. Stolen glances.

  1. Okay, page 56. "I opened my eyes to the cloudless sapphire sky spread out above me. Then Sheriff Richards' ugly face moved over mine, destroying the beautiful view". The book is Hallowed Ground by Lori G. Armstrong. I hope I did this right to enter the contest.
