The Most Intimate Wish

by

F.L. Bicknell

All she wants is a husband and family. All they need is for her to believe.

When Dinah and Jeff move in to be the Wheillercarts’ companions, their lives change for the better and the worse. Dinah loves Jeff, but after five years together, he still refuses to marry her, and Dinah’s dreams of starting a family begin to crumble. Regardless of their hot lovemaking sessions, she fears Jeff is cheating on her. Dinah will do anything to keep Jeff, even if it means sharing him with another woman.

However, strange occurrences and a seemingly psychic landlady keep Dinah guessing about her life and relationship with Jeff. And what about the bizarre statue in their landlady’s atrium? Little does Dinah know it holds the key to her most intimate wish.

Reviews
“Ms. Scarbrough has a way of involving sensuality without going in-depth so that younger readers cannot enjoy the book.” ~The Romance Studio
“I thoroughly enjoyed this story and felt that I was watching it unfold in front of me as if I was another character in the story.” ~NOR Reviews
“With a story that rings so true, the reader will feel like they had heard it at the local beauty parlor. The craft of this author keeps this story novel.” ~The Romance Reviews

Blurb

How was she going to keep her secret? It had been with her like a living thing for twenty-one years.

With her daughter all grown up and married, single mom Kelly Baron can start her new life, responsible only for herself. But first she must help her mother by returning to the small Indiana town she'd fled years ago.

Newly divorced lawyer, Rob Scott, seeks solace in his small-town roots. The last thing he's looking for is a relationship- until he runs into Kelly, and the secret she's been keeping.

Quote from the book:

He kissed her then-a typical THomas kiss with lips pressed firmly shut and eyes closed. Kelly repsonded as always, timidly, tepidly--trying to deny the longing in her heart for the love of her life--someone who cherished her, didn't want to change her and loved her just the way she was.

Two-fer Tuesday

Two Tasty Treats, one blog post.....

Now when I say tasty treats, i'm referring to sugar and men !!!

What better combination is there.....am I right?

First I'll start with a decadent recipe full of sugar with  an ingredient you wouldn't expect at all !

Apple Thingys

2 cans crescent rolls
4 apples cut into quarters
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (12 oz.) can Mountain Dew

Peel and core apples and cut into quarters.  Roll apple chunnks into a crescent triangle and close up like a dumpling.  Spray  13 x 9 dish.  Melt butter in a small pan.  Mix in sugar and cinnamon.  Pour over crescent  apple rolls. Then pour Muntain Dew all over that.  Yes i said Mountain Dew, trust me, it really blends in well and you can't tell.   Bake for 45 minutes at 350 deg. or until golden brown.  Better if eaten while still warm.

Now...

for the man part of my tasty treat, i know this one has been blogged about before but seriously, he is just so yummy and my favorite !!!  Say hello to.....

A yummy recipe !!

I am so sorry.....i wanted to get this posted Saturday but i came down with the flu and have been miserable.

This is one of my most favorite recipes and i hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

Cream Cheese Bars

2 (8 ox.) boxes cream cheese(softened)
3/4 c. sugar
2 cans croissant rolls
1/2 stick butter
3-4 shakes cinnamon sugar

Preheat oven to 350deg.  Mix sugar and cream cheese until smooth, set aside.  Spray bottom of 13 x 9 pan.  Spread 1 can of croissant rolls in bottom of pan.  Cover the rolls with the cream cheese mixture.  Carefully spread out the 2nd can of croissant rolls over top of the cream cheese mix.  ( I spread the 2nd can in sections on a cutting board then put them on the cream cheese so I'm sure it's all covered.).  Sprinkle cinnamon sugar all over top and dot with butter.  Bake 20-25 min. or until rolls are browning.  Cool before cutting and serving.

I swear it's easy as pie to make and delicious.  If I want it extra thick and rich, sometimes I use 3 boxes of cream cheese.    Still turns out good :)  Drop me a line and let me know if you tried them and how you liked them.

Hoe you all enjoy and I'll be back Tuesday with another goodies recipe.

Happy baking !!!!
